Modernize our old booking and inventory system

Project Description

Family-run hardware store running a system for inventory and special orders that has not been touched in over a decade. We want it modernized in stages: a clean API around our existing data, an AI search layer so staff can ask plain-English questions instead of digging through menus, and integration with our newer point-of-sale terminal. Nothing can go down during store hours. We are looking for someone careful with legacy data over someone just fast. On-site access can be arranged.
