I set up AI phone answering for restaurants and nail salons in and around the Mahatma Gandhi District and Bellaire that miss calls during the lunch and dinner rush. Using Twilio with OpenAI, the bot answers in English or Tiếng Việt, takes reservations or appointment requests, and texts a confirmation. I built one for a family-run phở spot that was losing weekend bookings to voicemail. I test heavily against real accents and background kitchen noise before anything goes live, since a bot that mishears orders is worse than no bot at all.
