Upgrade our decade-old inventory system

Project Description

Industrial parts supplier near the Duwamish corridor running a decade-old inventory and ordering system nobody wants to touch anymore. We want it modernized in stages: a clean API around the existing data, an AI search layer so staff can ask plain-English questions instead of running canned reports, and integration with our newer accounting software. Nothing can go down during business hours. We would rather hire someone careful with legacy data than someone fast and reckless.
